Forgetting all the shit with us he was IMO a very good footballer at the highest level.

I thought he already had done.
Good player but a cunt of a man. His issues with us alone speak volumes, but then 'Mr Chelsea' turns out for a rival after leaving them.
Clearly he's as loyal as his uncle.

I'll pull you on that one slightly, ted - not at the highest level, he wasn't - he was anonymous in international football.
One of the best ever Premier League players though.

His goal-scoring stats for a midfielder are simply and utterly outrageous. One of the best PL players ever.
But, an utter cunt.

a lesson on how to make the very best of what talent he had. putting the hate aside his career achievments are outstanding.
shame no england manager ever had the balls to sort out the lampard/gerrard problem.

Re: LAMPSY

When he had the ball winners around him at Chelsea doing all of the work for him, then there was no better midfielder for sniffing out a goal.
Excellent goalscorer, but never really rated him as a player and he was found out a little at national level.
Personally have no particular gripe with him though.

Re: LAMPSY

Kinda fell on his feet joining Chelsea when he did and was constantly surrounded by world class footballers
Made the most of his talent
Nowhere near Scholes or Gerrard though

Truly great player. Incredibly proud that we produced him - great advert for our academy, our philosophy of producing players in that period.
Sad of course that some supporters hate him. I don't.

Agree he was great with class around him a very decent player you do not play for Chelsea under a billionaire if you are crap.
Was a bit of a twat to us (Was young), but still I wish him good luck in whatever he does from now on.

"Nowhere near Scholes or Gerrard though"
Scholes i agree - but Gerrard? i would hazard that Lampsy has scored more goals and won more stuff. Gerrard was the stand out player in poor Liverpool sides............. and was equally poor for England.

Gerrard was nowhere near as poor for England as Lampard - not anywhere near as bad. That's not to say he was good, or came close to his Liverpool standards, but Lampard was anonymous for England.

Fuck 'im. In a game that is full of cunts he stood out a fucking mile. I wonder if his kids still talk to him since he kicked their 100 year old great grandmother out of her home?

MiM,
For the title of the thread only you should be suspended for 2 week from the site. As bad as people who refer to John Terry as JTsey.
